Month: January 2022

Snow Emergency

A Snow Emergency will be in effect from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 through 7:00 a.m. Friday, February 4th, 2022 for the Village of Jerome. The National Weather Service is forecasting accumulations of at least 6 inches of snow. This will be accompanied by freezing rain and ice.

To facilitate Public Works clearing of snow and ice, Village residents are required to move all vehicles along posted Snow Emergency routes. This will enable safe passage for the snowplows and any first responders during the snow emergency. It is also recommended that vehicles on non-marked roads are also removed to allow for efficient snow clearing operations.

Please monitor local media and the National Weather Service for additional information on the incoming storm. The State of Illinois has tips and information for preparing for a Winter Storm at this site. Watch out for your neighbors, especially the elderly.
