Proper distribution system maintenance ensures ease of repairs during an emergency situation. You may notice discoloration and possibly some sediment in your water. It is strongly recommended that you run a small amount of water in your bathtub to flush any sediment from your water system. There is no need to boil water or take any other action. Please see the attachments below for more information on flushing your home or business water system.
Only residents and businesses who are Village of Jerome Water customers will be affected. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this critical maintenance. Contact the Public Works Department directly with any concerns.

A Snow Emergency will be in effect from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 through 7:00 a.m. Friday, February 4th, 2022 for the Village of Jerome. The National Weather Service is forecasting accumulations of at least 6 inches of snow. This will be accompanied by freezing rain and ice.
To facilitate Public Works clearing of snow and ice, Village residents are required to move all vehicles along posted Snow Emergency routes. This will enable safe passage for the snowplows and any first responders during the snow emergency. It is also recommended that vehicles on non-marked roads are also removed to allow for efficient snow clearing operations.
Please monitor local media and the National Weather Service for additional information on the incoming storm. The State of Illinois has tips and information for preparing for a Winter Storm at this site. Watch out for your neighbors, especially the elderly.
