Street Repairs

Important Information Regarding Street Repairs.

Starting September 21,2023 (weather dependent) the Village of Jerome will be conducting Street Repair Projects throughout the Village.

Crews will be working on multiple areas on the following streets.

Welch St., Homewood Ave., W. Glenn Ave.

Leonard St., Fillmore Ave., Homewood Ct.

And Lincoln Ave.

NO VEHICLES TO BE PARKED ON OR ALONG STREET.

VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNERS EXPENSE

No Parking Signs will be posted in those areas.

Final Limb Pick up for 2023

October 2-6, 2023, Public Works will begin limb pickup. This will be the final limb pickup for 2023. Please do not put any brush or limbs out after October 6, 2023. All limb piles must be placed along the street edge BEFORE 7:00am the morning of September 25, 2023. Any piles placed after 7:00am on the October 2nd WILL NOT be picked up. Piles must not be placed out any earlier than 1 WEEK prior to pick up dates. (per Ordinance) Size of pile restrictions are still in place per Ordinance. Any piles larger than 6ft wide x 4ft tall x 8ft long are considered oversize and will require a $75.00 fee to be paid before pickup will occur. Residents who either have “Oversized” piles, or were late setting piles out will be notified via a letter stating why their pile was not removed, and any fees owed, and where to pay fees. Halloween Hours

The Village of Jerome will observe Halloween Trick or Treating Hours from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on October 31, 2023. The Annual Village of Jerome Halloween Event will be held in conjunction with Jerome Methodist Church Trunk or Treat event on Halloween night.

The Village of Jerome is asking for can food donations to be brought up to village hall on Halloween night!

The Village will be donating what is collected to the less fortunate in our community!

The Village will distribute candy in the front of the Civic Center until candy runs out.

We are in need of donations of candies and novelties to hand out!!

Flu Clinic

Sangamon County Public Health will be offering the Flu Clinic at the Jerome Civic Center on October 17, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please bring with you your insurance cards.

Large Item Drop Off

The Village has scheduled a Large Item Drop Off on October 14, 2023 from 8 am to Noon.

Residents will be responsible for showing proof of residency
and will be required to unload their items themselves. Items prohibited
are yard waste, paint, appliances, and tires.

Limb removal and Pick up

The Village will start picking up limbs on October 2 through October 6, 2023.
