Christmas Tree Pickup

The village public works team will be picking up natural Christmas trees curbside from Tuesday, January 25, 2022, through February 1, 2022. Please make sure your tree is placed out on the curb before Tuesday, January 25th. It should be just the tree, no decorations.

Military Honors for Major Mark Monteyne

A Celebration of life and military honors for Major Mark Monteyne retired from the Illinois
National Guard in 2018. Major Mark Monteyne died on December 15, 2019. A 21 gun
salute, taps, and folding of the flag will occur at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
In addition, the Village of Jerome Police will be present at this event.

Toys for Tots

The Village of Jerome will be hosting a drop-off for Toys for Tots on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11 am until 3 pm. Please bring new unwrapped toys to the Civic Center and Toys for Tots will make sure that they reach needy children for Christmas.

Halloween 2021 Information

The Village of Jerome will pass out candy at the Village Hall on
October 30, 2021, from 4 pm to 7 pm or until supplies last.

Trick or Treating Hours will be on October 31, 2021, from 4 pm to 8 pm. In addition, the Jerome United Methodist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat on October 31, 2021, from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Road Repairs

The Village of Jerome has contracted P.H. Broughton to complete asphalt repairs on Friday, October 22, 2021. The following areas will be affected:

  1. Homewood Ave. Between Welch Ave. and Leonard St.
  2. Welch Ave. Near Homewood Ave., Glenn Ave., and Iles Ave.
  3. Leonard St. Near Wabash Ave. and intersection of Glenn Ave.
  4. Maple Ave. Between Evergreen Ct. and MacArthur Blvd.

We are asking all residents to AVOID PARKING in these areas (including contractors, lawn care, etc.). Areas will be marked with paint, cones, or barricades prior to work beginning. The morning work is started, any vehicles in the way of the pre-marked areas WILL BE TOWED at the vehicle owner’s expense.
